How do i find out if my computer burns dvd.

Hello,
i am trying to burn dvd's on my lap top but it keeps prompting a message that my drive is already burning and it is not burning anything. how do i stop this problem and find out if my drive does in fact burn dvd's. thank you for your time.

Dvd shrink - Download - CD and DVD
Ubuntu mount dvd - Guide
Dvd drive repair - Download - Backup and recovery
Roxio easy cd & dvd burning free download - Download - CD and DVD

Hello Sir,

If you are using a software to burn your Discs, such as NERO i will advise you to uninstall it and install a newer version...
