Lost an unsaved document

Hello,
I was wondering if you can tell me if there is an way to recover an unsaved document on microsoft works? I have vista home premium......I was working on a document for school, and my computer shut down ( I think it overheated?!) Anyway, I really need to retrieve that document...............wouldn't it be on my hard drive??? Would someone be able to retrieve what I was typing???? Help
