Probs to delete a program

hey ! I've a prob with windows live messenger 9.0 beta . In fact , a lot of programs don't work with that version , so I tried to download the older but it say me that before , I've to delete the 9.0 version . so I tried but I can't I press "delete" and it happens nothing ! anybody can help me ?

try to remove it from the add or remove program list in the control panel
