Ink catridge both black and color

Hello,
Hi to everyone! Please help me what to do with my canon printer. I just installed a new ink both black and colored but when i was printing it says the ink has run out? I tried to open the cover and pulled out the ink catridge then put it back but to no avail. I dont know what to do anymore. Please help me. Thank you!
