Hello,

I am installing a Barracuda 1.5 tb SATA drive into an IDE motherboard. I am doing a new install of XP and I am using a Kingwin ADP-06 Sata to IDE Bridge board.

The problem happens when I'm installing Windows. I have to press F6 and then S to install the SATA Drive. Then it asks for files from my ''A'' Drive but my Cd player is my ''D'' Drive.

Any idea which files I need to copy from the Seagate Disk to the ''A''Drive?

Many thanks,

Since you have the SATA <-> IDE adapter converting the drive to IDE, you don't need to install SATA drivers. The motherboard & OS will think the drive is IDE. Install XP as if you were installing to an IDE drive and you will be all set.
