Hello,

I and creating a spreed sheet for my job to make weekly counts easier. I have been trying for hours now on a formula to calculate either a greater than less than with in two cells.

IE: If b22 is greater Than c22 then add, if b22 is less than c22 then subtract. (Dealing with Inventory Costs)

Please if you can help!!!

presuming you want this to happen in cell A22 then

in A22 write

=IF(B22>C22, B22+c22, IF(B22<C22, C22-B22, "what should i do if b22 is same as c22"))

I tried that and it did not work. The numbers will never be the same.

What you mean exactly by it did not work ? you got error? not expected answer. Could you provide sample data along with what output you expect
