Hello, sir/madam...i am doing some work with the students result in excel...but I faced a problem..it is simple but I havn't got dat in my mind...i have students total marks.now I wanna get the position of the students i.e first , second, third etc. I will be glad and praiseworthy if u can help me out

to select a data toolbar you can see a sort button,, click it ,, that ask u for assending order or decending order... you select yourself what you want... the decending order will display the oder on decending...

Hello,

I am working on a spreadsheet where I have to copy data over to a new sheet, once the data is copied I want to delete the data in the row from original sheet, without losing the formulas,

Any help would be much appreciated

Excel - IF function with multiple words

Hi

I'm trying to write a formula to produce a yes/no answer depending on whether the data in a previous cell in the same row contains any of the words I am trying to match.

Ie. I want the formula cell to read "Yes" if Cell B4 contains the words "Apple" or "Banana" or "Carrot", or "No" if it doesn't contain any of those words.

I am currently trying something like:

=COUNTIF(OR(B4,"*Apple*",B4,"*Banana*",B4,"*Carrot*")), "Yes","No"

(although this is rejected)

Help would be very much appreciated!
