I need anyhelp i can get

i have windows 7 and i downloaded itunes 9 but ween i plug in my ipod 4GB it does not show in itunes or in "my computer" but it does charge i had tryed about everything to make it show up but nothing! and it gets me pist off.. any tips or anything to help please tell me!

You download iTunes - but, did you then install it?

yeaa.. this ipod is old i bought it from a friend recently, and he said he got his songs by buying them in itunes.... and i cant even get it to show up in itunes.. and ween i plug it to the computer nothing shows up.. maybe is the ipod.. because it cant be the computer this computer isen't even a year old its windows 7.. so anything ealse u can help me with????
