How to seperate values in the same colomn

Hello
Can some 1 help me please im trying to set up a spread sheet, i have different information in one column, i just want to seprate it for e.g
A1
M1234
M1235
M1236
M1237
U1000
U1001
U1002
U1003
M1238
M1239
M1240

These are all in the same column i want to be able to seperate them and send to another spread sheet to calculate how many have been made.

Based on the values in cells b77:b81

Have you looked into Text to column functionality that is found under "Data" tab
