Please provide clear information why you are unable to use the cable so that we get to understand the difficulty that is being faced.

I have a philips ambient light that i am trying to connect to my Acer Aspire M1610. i've upgraded the graphics to the Asus EN8400GS. Its goint through the HDMI lead (with adapter fitting to bk of comp), picis creat but for the life of me i cant get no sound?!
My ps3 plays through the HDMI as does the dvd player & they have sound, so why wont this...
Any info appreciated...
