Notebook does not display bios

hi guys, i have my NEC lavie notebook but when i switch it on,the LEDS light up but it does not boot neither does it show the bios menu and the fun doesnt start to..before it got to this state it first displayed a cpu speed lower than its original value but now it shows absolutely nothing ...
