My iTouch Keeps Dieing

My 3rd gen iTouch fell in my pool and im getting the screen replaced and all, but whenever i push the power it dies immediately and i have to put it on the charger to turn it back on, and i cant find a replacement power button for the 3rd gen iTouch anywhere, so any ideas.
