Need help on the vga cable on a aspire one la

i got the vga cable for my aspire one laptop and it shows the beginning and then it say no signal what do i do

HI there,

Given information is not enough and clear,you need to plug the vga cable to external monitor or tv which has the port to get display ,please give more information.
