My system machine is Microsoft XP. For some reason, it started to refuse to open powerpoints with the right software, but presents only the Adobe Photoshop, that
ends with the message: "Couldn't open this file. It is not the appropriate programa".
When I save the file, it opens normal with the Powerpoint. What I'm suppose to do?
Thanks,
Brazilian Slave

open my computer,
tools/folder options
go to the File types tab
go down the list until you get to the PPT. check that it is set to open with powerpoint.

if it isn't you can change it by clicking on change when you high lite that file extension.

or.

Find a powerpoint file that you wish to open. right click on it and select open with...

go down the list until you find powerpoint. highlite it.
then tick the 'always use the selected program to open this kind of file.

then click ok.

if powerpoint is not in the list then you are going to need to browse to the powerpoint exe file.

hope that helps.
