What the hell is with Hp!!! I have a Hp Pavillion dv-4 1220 and I'm having a similar problem. I'm very surprise my mother hasn't had this problem yet, seeing how we got the same computer on the same day at the same store (thats out of business now). However, its the bottom of the screen that is flickering and just today, it grew larger. i figured it was some kind of virus, but reading everyone's comment i see it's probably something else. please let me know when you find something.

Hi there,

Check your refresh rate in display properties and set it in range of 6o to 75Hz to solve this issue.
