black screen dell latitude 531 Closed

Question

my dell latitude 531 is booting with nothing but a black screen and no sound from the hd at all.  Tried suggestions from previous posts regarding removal of pow cord and batt, then restarting with no success. any suggestion??

Configuration: Windows XP / Safari 531.22.7
