column A has a list of driver license numbers. If one of these driver license numbers repeats i would like it to highlight with in an 18 month time span. If the date of the offense which in located in column G is longer than 18 months form the current date i would like the entire row to be hidden and part of the duplication process.

I am currently working on a government program that allows people to take a class across the state where they can only take the class once in an 18 month period. I want the spreadsheet to be able to pick up duplicates using the driver license number in column A only if it falls with 18 months of the current date

Rizvisa1 i appreacite your concern.
I would like thi spreadsheet to be active in that as i enter that data it only highlights things with in a certain time period. Your right in that i can filter a certain time period but but if you filter based on tiem period and put a duplication format on it the conditional formatting will shows the dupliation even with the filter in place. I would like the highlighted cell to unhighlight if it is outside the 18 month range

Could you please upload a sample file with sample data etc on some shared site like https://authentification.site , http://wikisend.com/ etc and post back here the link to allow better understanding of how it is now and how you foresee.
