so your case is a little bit sensitive
first of all i need to know if you are talking about a laptop or a computer !
second of all I need to know what antivirus do you use cause it coulld be a virus !
then my advice for you nor is to run a system restore ! or a recovery disk and restore all settings
and if that didn't work then I'll need to know the inf I just asked you about good luck
glad if i could help

I have done the restore and im still experiencing the same problems. When I type the letter "p" into the google search box the following appears +qwerty and then a seperate window opens titled "my computer". However if when i press "p" whilst holding down scroll lock it doesnt occur! The key which has the question mark and slash on turns off my computer if pressed!

Sorted. Discovered the answer on another site. All i had to do was uninistall the keyboard driver and then reinstall it, it really was that simple.

aha so good for you
but if this worked then the problem was from the drivers settings this means that you were able to restore the settings as a second sollution !!!
