Head phones doesn't work

Hello,

I plug my plantonics headphones.my laptop says that new program has instaled but is not active.My headphone test works fine too.but i cannot hear from them or cannot talk into the mic.volume on laptop speakers speaks only.

Dear Sir,

Please indicate on which application you are using it for it might be that it has not been correctly configured.

If you can give me step by step instructions,i will be able to configure it .You are right,it might be the configuration problem.I donot know the application name,i am not a very computor literate girl,just learning it slowly so i donot know what did u asked.It is a Dell Studio 1559,and the application is built in i guess.....

Open the Realtek Sound Manager (icon in systray) and enable the front
connectors there. The rear connectors are probably set as the defaults.
Click Device Advanced Settings to enable display of all of the input-output
settings.
