Hello, Ambucias

i did a scan with F-Scure Scan like u told me to it picked up one problem, but at the end i dont know what happened to the program at the end after it scaned but it just closed on me after the computer was in some mode.

But i did another scan with Trend Micro Online scan HouseCall. the results were funny, that it picked up a Readme.chm File, the threat was TROJ Generic.DIT and the action was ignored why? if you want me do another scan with F-Scure online Scan again? or give you a hijack this log file list for you. I hope to get response from you ASAP thanks

Regards, Gervarod

Hello,

I did answer on the previous thread. I am not always on line and one must sometimes be patient before I get a chance to reply.

Here is what I wrote:

Dear Aussie Friend

It is a good thing that your system is still operational despite this parasite.

First can you download, install and run Spybot Search and Destroy and see what it finds.

https://ccm.net/downloads/security-and-maintenance/4561-spybot-search-destroy/

Also, please check the quarantine file of your antivirus and clean what is in there if any.

If you still feel there is still the presence of a virus, please send me a HJT log, I believe your know the procedure:

http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis/

See you later alligator

Hello Gervarod,

6AM presently here.

Did Spybot find anything? I forgot to tell you not to install the Tea-Timer component which gets annoying. You can remove it though the add/remove programme utility.

It seems that your system got infected through YouTube. One must be carefull with YouTube, not as malicious as Limewire but...

Concerning your log, there is one process which need to be terminated and removed:

C:\Program Files\YouTube Downloader Toolbar\SearchSettings.exe

Please run another scan with HJT, no log. Once the scan is finished please check the following:

C:\Program Files\YouTube Downloader Toolbar\SearchSettings.exe

C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\TeaTimer.exe

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {E312764E-7706-43F1-8DAB-FCDD2B1E416D} - (no file)

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5C255C8A-E604-49b4-9D64-90988571CECB} - (no file)

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {c2db4fe6-8409-45ce-8010-189a7b5cce86} - (no file)

O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {c2db4fe6-8409-45ce-8010-189a7b5cce86} - (no file)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SearchSettings] "C:\Program Files\YouTube Downloader Toolbar\SearchSettings.exe"

If the following is not precious to you, I would delete it:

O2 - BHO: Big Fish Games Toolbar - {C7C9FC25-88B0-4682-9C9F-2608E9117647} - C:\Program Files\BfgBar\bfg.dll

Once checked, please click on fix checked and do another scan with Malwarebyte.

Let me know

Farewell

for some reason when i turn on the computer it goes to scan area before it loads to the Login area i got 5 types of scans i can use for Avast which are full scan, quick scan, or Boot-time Scan it goes to Boot-time Scan instead of loading windows up at the login area too.. and we do not have a apple Ipad or anything to do with one of them. cos before apple software came up and wanted me to install the file!!

catch ya later when ever your on next bye got to get up in 6 hours as it's 2:17AM as i got to put a form in for centrelink so i get piad cos they close at 11:00AM it's the Queens birthday here.

With all do respect my friend, you have an Apple application in your system

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [iTunesHelper] "C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe"

O23 - Service: Apple Mobile Device - Apple Inc. - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\AppleMobileDeviceService.exe

O23 - Service: Bonjour Service - Apple Inc. - C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe

Could you please explain to me why I see now in the proceeses at boot time the following:

C:\Program Files\Midnight Mysteries 2 - Salem Witch Trials\Midnight Mysteries Salem Witch Trials.exe

and...

C:\Program Files\Midnight Mysteries 2 - Salem Witch Trials\Midnight Mysteries Salem Witch Trials.exe

Have you done something after the last HJT log?

It is not normal to have a game in the running processes.

Also, now in your system, you have Avast and Symantec (The armpit of the World in customer service and virus detection as far as I am concerned).

Both Symantec files are missing why? Here is what I am talking about:

O23 - Service: Symantec Lic NetConnect service (CLTNetCnService) - Unknown owner - c:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSvcHst.exe (file missing)
O23 - Service: F-Secure BlackLight Sensor - Unknown owner - C:\Users\Ace\AppData\Local\Temp\F-Secure\Anti-Virus\fsblsrv.exe (file missing)

F-Secure also made an entry.

My experience showed that having more than one antivirus programme may create problems as not only do they consume a lot of ressources but they may come in conflict.

Could you please let me know what is your system's state at this moment and will you please, pretty please with sugar on top get rid of the Witches processes before you answer me as these wicked ladies may throw a curse on your system which will cause it to emanate an awful smell.

Thank you

I forgot your question.
I never had Avast. So please look at your Avast configuration and adjust it to your desire. It sometimes pays to look at all the possibilities of an application, clicking here and there to see what it does.

Does it have a quarantine file?

Supper time... shrimps...I hope they are not from Louisiana with a BP logo on them.

yes Avast does have a Quarantine file you told me to delete the items out of it the other day and do a scan with malwarebytes.

C:\Program Files\Midnight Mysteries 2 - Salem Witch Trials\Midnight Mysteries Salem Witch Trials.exe

and...

C:\Program Files\Midnight Mysteries 2 - Salem Witch Trials\Midnight Mysteries Salem Witch Trials.exe
I don't know why these two games are running but i only went on the internet and done the scanes with spybot search and destroy and then malwarebytes thats all i was told by you to do and unclick the tea timer in spybot which i did.

Symantec files are missing why? Here is what I am talking about:

O23 - Service: Symantec Lic NetConnect service (CLTNetCnService) - Unknown owner - c:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSvcHst.exe (file missing)
O23 - Service: F-Secure BlackLight Sensor - Unknown owner - C:\Users\Ace\AppData\Local\Temp\F-Secure\Anti-Virus\fsblsrv.exe (file missing)

i was told why these games were working but i just found out that the person who mainly uses it last night tried to play them but they wont open at all and she couldn't download any games from Big Fish Games website which are only a hourly trial to play...... Also with the symantec files i dont know why they are missing i only have one Anti-Virus protection on it and malwarebytes i did download F-Secure scan the other day like you told me to do but at the end of the scan it went away before i can see what the problem was so instead i ran Micro Trend HouseCall to do the job which F-Secure should have.

Top of the day,

You log looks healthy!

I forgot to mention that Avast will also detect malware in the Norton quarantine file.

Do you intend to keep both Avast and Norton?

Is there anything else I can do for you?

Hava a most pleasant day.

Search me! I don't know how and when you acquired the computer. If you acquired it with software allready installed this would explain the origine.

You can delete these key:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [IS CfgWiz] "c:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\OPC\{31011D49-D90C-4da0-878B-78D28AD507AF}\cltUIStb.exe" /MODULE CfgWiz /GUID {BC8D3EAF-F864-4d4b-AB4D-B3D0C32E2840} /MODE CfgWiz /CMDLINE "REBOOT"

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [osCheck] "c:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\osCheck.exe"

O23 - Service: Symantec Lic NetConnect service (CLTNetCnService) - Unknown owner - c:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSvcHst.exe (file missing)

Did I ever send you a registry cleaner, Eusingfree? It is totally free and effective.
0
no you never sent me a registry cleaner but i will now delete the files you told me to now
