Uninstalling old itunes from Vista

Hello,

I am trying to install itunes 9.1 on my computer, vista. I can't delete the old version of iTunes, and it gives me the message the "the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable." Click OK or try to enter an alternate path. What do I do to fix this.
