Hello,
I bought a WD 2 TB hard drive which I've stored many, many files on using my Windows 7 Dell Laptop. I tried the HD on my wife's Dell Laptop with windows 7 and it works there too. Now I brought it to another guy to give him the files on his HP laptop with windows 7 but the WD smart thing starts up and says the password attempt was wrong too many times and now I'd have to reformat drive. This is crazy and when I phoned WD they said the same. I then brought the HD back to my computer and it works fine. The folder opens right away and all the files are there, both on mine and the wife's computer. What would stop the HD from working on the HP laptop.
Thanks for any help.

HEY, I AM SHUBHAJIT ,

HIS LAPTOP HAS VIRUS EFFECTED (TROJAN HORSE BLACK DOOR OR OTHER).
OR HE DISABLE HIS EXTERNAL DRIVES. I SUGGEST U TO SAY HIM THAT IS HE USE ANY SOFT THAT HIDE,LOCK,DISABLE DRIVES ( "HIDE MY DRIVES" IS ONE KIND OF SOFT THAT HAS THESE KIND OF FACILITIES. )? IF YES THEN OPEN THE SOFT AND ENABLE IT.

THANKS AND BELIEVE ME ,
