Can't find downloaded Adobe reader

Hello,
I can't see the download of adobe...or where it went, says installation was successful however , I don't know how to get it on my desktop or in recently added programs..I use firefox and have windows XP...can't open PDF files without it..or can I?

Please,

1. Click on start

2. Click on search

3. Type Adobe and let the tool find it for you, it will show you where it is.
