Net is not working in my system

Hello,

I got a virus in my system after that using the antivirus software i am able to remove the virus. But when i am trying to connect to the internet it is not working. when i am trying to repair it is giving the msg as Not able to renew ip, when i am trying from the command prompt ipconfig/renew, it is failing to do that. if i click ipconfig showing 0.0.0.0, not giving the subnet mask also. Please help me to fix the problem

Hello,

Please, instead of ipconfig/renew, turn off your modem and do ipconfig/release, leave you modem off for 2 to 3 hours, you should then have a new ip.
