Hello,

I have been using a corsair flash drive and today it will not register, says it needs to be formatted. the latest news is that the computer tells me there is no disk inserted. i believe it is corrupted. i would hate to lose all of the work i have on it. any suggestions? they would be much appreciated..

thank you,

Dear Drew,

You will definitely have to get it formatted for there is a possibility that there are corrupted files on it.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

first of all get in disk management and change the drive letter for this follow instructions below:

https://ccm.net/faq/6360-windows-handling-the-please-insert-a-disk-into-drive-error

Then after having done so if still cannot format the device and having write protection error then use instructions on link below:

https://ccm.net/faq/4214-how-to-disable-write-protection-on-a-usb-key

With these instructions you definitely will be successful to format and use your device.

Thanks
