no response from host - Nokia 5130 Closed

Hello, 

I have installed Nokia PC Suite - trying to connect my phone to the laptop through USB Cable but the message on the phone is still 'no response from host'
pls help

Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 3.6.10

Please make sure that the PC Suite that has been installed is the right compatible one.

Hello,

Reset your phone settings back to default factory and connect as the problem starts with handset and not pc.

Thank you for your responses, 
I did check the phone compatibility before downloading the PC suite and also restored factory setting to the phone before trying to connect through the UBS, however I am still receiving the same error message

synchronize your mobile with that  and select  via data cable . then restart your computer and connect again
