Hello,
My friend is trying to add me from his computer to my PS3 console..

I can't even add him to my friendlist! is it a problem with that? can't we be friends when he got a pc and i got a PS3?

hi,
You need to be running a media server on your PC. Either enable sharing in Media Player 11, or install another server such as TVersity.
