Ipconfig

Hello,
When i want to run: ipconfig, the prompt comes to screen for 1 second and disapears, how can I make it to remain in the screen?

go to start button
run
type CMD enter
when you are at the dos prompt
type
c:\>ipconfig

I did but there is a masage says,
c:\' is not recognized as an internal or external command,operabal program or batch file. I put C:\>ipconfig
what is the problom?
