Hello,
i can't get on the internet on any PC in my house, neither my xBox, and that is weird because our modem seems to work perfectly fine (we even just got a new one cuz old one was havin same problem) so well i got this Speedtouch multimodem st780wlt (wireless by the way) and i can connect to it, and it says it's connection is excellent, but i can't load any page on either Mozilla Firefox nor Internet Explorer, and i can't connect to xBox LIVE on my xBox, i don't get what's wrong. These lamps are glowing on our modem: Power, Wlan, DSL, Internet. And these lamps do not glow: Ethernet, USB and Voice (dun think either USB or Voice is the problem but anywayz) I've performed 'ipconfig/flushdsl' 'ipconfig/release' and 'ipconfig/renew' but none of them fixed the problem. This problem started about 2 weeks before christmas, we've called our internet guys but they only tell us to turn the router off and then back on and check all the wires or whatever are connected to the router, and we've done that a thousand times but it does not help. I've been without internet for 4 weeks now x_x im soon goin crazy so if u guys know how to fix it i'd be forever grateful =]

Hi, you mentioned turning off the router. This means that you have a modem and a router. You also mentioned that your modem is wireless. This could mean that your modem is already a modem and router in one. If this is the case try disconnecting the router from your modem, connect your computer or XBOX to your modem then check if you have internet connection. If you do not have internet connection without the router this means that your modem is not configured correctly. You have to call your internet guys again or get support from the modem manufacturer.

I had a similer problem with a touchstone cable modem it had a built in battery backup so to reset it I had to push this little button in a hole in the back to rest and I also had to install a driver for the usb connection still didn't work so i ended up removing all of my components in the dialog box for my network connection then re installing them and setting my internet prtocols to automatic. Are all these things connected directly to the modem or do you have a router hooked to the modem and thes devices hooked to the router.
