How to convert external HD from mac to pc

Hello,

I was given a seagate external hard drive to use on my laptop but the last place it was used was on a mac.

When I plugged the HD in my laptop doesn't detect it and therefore I cannot use it.

What can I do to set this right?

The option for format wasn't highlighted but I managed to find delete volume and started from there.

Used compter management.
