PLS HELP

Hello,
When my PC starts and in the start when is the IDE scanning he finds my HDD and my DVD-RW but there is a line where it is said

SECONDARY IDE CHANNEL NO 80 CONDUCTOR CABLE INSTALLED

and i'm trying to put another copy of windows on it but it doesnt work plss help felows !!!

Did you add a new IDE cable? Some older (and CD/DVD) IDE cables were 40 conductor - the newer ones use 80 wires to enable higher hard disk speeds. Sound like your motherboard needs the 80 wire type for the HD. They look nearly identical but the 80 wire type has much thinner wires.
