Put the old memory back in the PC. Be sure that the memory module is fully seated (it needs to CLICK in place). There is a slot in the module that prevents you from inserting it backwards and prevents you from using the WRONG type of memory. Do not to touch the metal prongs with your hands and do not do this replacement on a carpeted floor that can generate static electricity. Some PCs need you to verify in the BIOS the new memory size.
