you have to set up the second nic card manually for the configuration you want to use. I used to use an 8 port switch and the way I set it up was internet into first nic card switch into second nic card and I set up the first nic card to share internet connection and the rest of the system to connect through that computer. Hope that helps and you need to set up file and print sharing for the printer.
