Hello,
I have a toshiba if that helps with windows xp. Also everything else on the keyboard works. I cut and pasted the "w." because it doesn't work.
and then sometimes when i on/off the laptop, the letter "W" work but the other keys didn't. how can i solve it?

This sounds like a hardware problem. I suggest you replace the keyboard.
