Problem in installing linux

Hey i have hp dv6 3052 tx and i wanna install ubuntu 10.10 in it through the parallel installation method but i have to format one of my hard disk partition to do that so i wanna ask what is the need of the third hard disk partition labled "HP_TOOLS" is it an important partition, can i move the files to c drive to clear the disk for installation of ubuntu. will it cause any harm. plzz help!!!

Hi,

DO NOT TOUCH THIS PARTITION. It contains files that are indispensable for the system recovery. In case of your laptop encounter problem, you can use it to restore your pc to the factory settings.

Regarding Ubuntu installation, you can free up space on your C drive if you've had enough and install it on the new partition.

Let me know your discs, size and space remaining.
