How to transfer SMS from Android to computer

Hello,

Please!! I need help. I have a HTC Hero android phone with about 3000 SMS messages. Important messages! Im wondering if there is a way I can transfer these sms messages from android phone to my computer? For a backup, just in case.

Most Smart phones have a USB cable and an interface program that connects the phone to a PC for backup. It may be optional equipment. I suggest you go to the HTC web site for more help.

PS - get a real life - how can anyone have 3000 important messages?
