Power Goes Off Automatically

Hello,
I Have Pc with following configuration-
1 GB Ram,
Processor-Intel(R) Core 2 Duo with 2.42 GHz
Motherboard Chipset Intel- ID29C0
Southbridge Intel- 82801GB(ICH7)


I have problem with my Pc regarding a power supply----

Monitor goes off automaticaly and stop responding for few minutes and works again.
The CPU main power and monitor is ON but have nothing to display on the screen and sound is also goes to for few time and automaticallly come out.
Is there any problem in my SNMP or anything else

Please help as soon as possible.......

If your SMPS is old or underpowered these problems could occur. If you have another SMPS u can check. Do u have a UPS?
