Go to control panel-sound
Right click on the playback tab
Select ''show disabled devices '' option
Does it display your speaker? if yes right click on it and enable it

Nope it does not display speaker....on the contrary it says no audio devices are installed.....and so I thot its a driver problem....bt my model HP dv6701au does nt hav sound drivers for windows 7
