My desktop is white or black

Hello, my PC desktop after switcing quite often is black or white. I make refresh etc, and get the picture back, but next time it is white or black again. And Word Premium 2000 wanting to install, but as I have no CD, after cancel it is OK. Thanks for any advide.

Hi

Are you install system backup and restore software?

You can modify the Registry follow the following steps:

Starts->run->regedit

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Delete the value"nosavesettings"
