I can't see anything

Hello,
I recently downloaded a shady program and luckily my AVG caught it...but, when I hit heal or remove, it says the file was not found or such, now, 2 days later I am being forced to use the Task Manager to open files because I can not see or use my desktop in any way, the only thing I see is the background. The computer boots normally, but when I login, it sits on the user name hovering in the middle for 3x longer than it should, and when it finally goes off of that screen, I get nothing but an empty desktop.
