Hello,
Try this 1
1) Plug your external hard drive
2) Click on Start --> Run --> Type devmgmt.msc and press Enter.
"Device Manager" will be opened.
Expand "Disk Drive" by double-clicking on it or click on the "+" symbol -->
Right-click on your external drive shown there --> Select "Uninstall" --> Unplug
your external hard drive --> Restart your PC --> Now plug your external hard
drive.
