Hi have you created a different partition for installing XP? is your HD in SATA or IDE?
in these cases create a new partition for XP and ensure that your HD is in a IDE format

Its very important to do this exactly as stated..if you feel you cannot....Print the link..and it contents...take your laptop to a computer repair shop and they will do it for you for a fee..but worth it if you dont like to do this on your own)as long as you have a Legit Xp....i tried this on my new ACER 5100....and works fine...LOL..Windows 7 loads in under 40 minutes and installs everything except webcam and audio,,for that you have to use the Compatabilty in the drop down menu an use as Compatibilty for VISTA.To do this (run compatible vista)..right click on the driversand select compatability for vista. Many times (even in windows Service Pack 3....) the system loads everything it can till it gets to the point it does not SEE the SATA hard drive you have so the SATA drivers for your motherboard must be slipstreamed into another WINDOWS XP ISO.
