Hi deadea,
For other users it helped changing the proxy settings. To change proxy settings in Mozilla Firefox follow the steps below:
1. Click Tools.
2. Select Options.
3. Click Network tab.
4. Click Settings.
5. Check the first radio button No Proxy.
6. Click Ok.
7. Click Ok again.
8. Check if you are able to update now.
