Hello,
i also change sata ti ide but when i change to ide my laptop go in loop after first screen and i have ro swich off manually.my laptop has win 7 home basic but i want win xp in it so plz help me to install win xp.

Hi pratik90599,

All "Blue Screen" errors are not owing to "SATA" or "IDE" related settings. There could be other reasons for "Blue Screen" errors. We can analyze a "Blue Screen" error with the ten character error code such as 0x0000007B. Please reply with the exact error code displayed.

Also, another good option is to create a "Dual Boot" option with both XP and Windows 7 on your laptop. In case, you want to install both the Operating Systems on your laptop you can get tips from the following article:
