Brought a new wireless router

Hello,
I brought a new wireless router because for some reason I can get my old one to connect anymore. I stayed on the phone with Tech support for almost an hr and still couldd not get it to work, so I went out and brought a new one. I just wanted to kow if I should uninstall my old software and install the new software for the the router?

Yes. The new software will make the initial setup much easier.
