I have a MacBookPro (new) and I need Windows Media Player for a school project. Am I able to download WMP onto my Mac? Is there a particular version I should look for?

You would need to buy a copy of Windows and install it on your Mac. Probably not something you would want to do for a simple school project.

What is it you want to do - video editing?

xpcman, no, I have to video three counseling session, down load them on my mac then to a flash drives and then send to my professor. My Q is if he has a PC can he read the flash drives I send him? Can he view them if he has iTunes on his PC?

It's not the Software you use. It's the format of the file your professor needs. I would ask him what format he can accept. Then find what format your Mac software can write. Something like mp3 should work.
