Help the helpless

Hello,
hi this is arjun,i own a dell inspiron 640m laptop was working properly till yesterday morning then tried to start the same evening it didnt work.blank black screen appears.the brightness is normal.and nothing even a word appears in the screen .bios setup also doesnt appear.tried the f2,f8key and so on .but nothing help.nothing appears on the screen.but the light for the hardware blinks and keyboard blinks.and aftersome time when i keep some keys pressing beep tone is heard.......this never happened to me before .so please some body help me if any information is inadequate please mail me at arjun484@hotmail.com.

First connect the laptop to an external monitor - this will test if the Laptop's screen has broken. Report back on the status. Good Luck
