Ie and firefox/vista

Hello,
ok this is driving me nuts!!
im on wireless if it matters,
im on a lap top as well.

ie:locks up when i want to close it, so i have to use task manager to shut it down
firefox, i cant read, load, answer, or anything in firefox all of a sudden, i was working just fine
driving me nuts!!, i dont like ie, i prefer firefox.. help!!

ive done everything i can think of..
