GTA san andreas not starting

Hello,

i had installed original GTA San andreas PC game DVD, It played for once and next day when we are clicking on shortcut icon the game wont start. we even uninstalled and reinstalled the game but not resolved, DVD is always in drive.. pls suggest why game is not working now.
