Msn 9.0 help!

Hello,
I downloaded Msn Messenger 9.0 or Windows Live 9.0 same thing. I however did not like it.. and so i decided to download the old msn back Msn Messenger 8.0 and it would not let me do it.. it told me to go into the control panel and go to add/remove programs to uninstall it first before i can download any older versions.. As i did this.. it was however not in the add/remove files.. and so i then deleted every file that i could find of this msn, and i still now have no msn on my computer.. i cannot even download the program again because it says i already have it. but i cannot find anywhere on my computer to uninstall it or reinstall it.. PLEASE HELP!
